What to Expect on Your First Visit
If your first visit to us is for a routine exam and cleaning, plan for about 90 minutes. In addition to performing all the regular services you expect from a dental checkup, we’re also going to spend some time getting to know you:
- What’s your level of comfort with dentistry?
- Are there any aspects of a trip to the dentist that make you anxious?
- What are your concerns about your dental health?
- What are your goals for your dental health?
We also want to get to know you as a person. One of the great things about our job is getting to know people from all walks of life, and it also helps our patients become more comfortable entrusting their dental care to our team.
If your first visit is for a dental procedure, you can expect the same close, personal care. We’ll talk through the procedure, explain every step of the process, and give you plenty of time to ask questions. Before you leave our office, we want to know that you’re comfortable with us and fully informed about your upcoming dental work.
What Should I Bring?
To help us provide the best care possible, please bring:
Your current medical history or any recent health updates
A list of all medications, supplements, or vitamins you are taking
Dental insurance card(s), if you have coverage
Any previous dental records or X-rays, if available (this helps us avoid unnecessary imaging)
